How to Use
  • Azicip 250 mg Tablet is commonly used to treat the following conditions:
  • Upper respiratory infections, such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis
  • Lower respiratory infections, including bronchitis and pneumonia
  • Ear infections, such as otitis media
  • Skin and soft tissue infections, including impetigo and cellulitis
  • Sexually transmitted infections, such as chlamydia
  • Prevention of bacterial endocarditis during high-risk surgeries
  • H. pylori eradication (part of combination therapy for ulcers)
Dosage & Administration
  • Adults: Typically 250 mg once daily for 3 to 5 days, depending on the infection
  • Children: Dosage is weight-dependent, generally 10 mg/kg on Day 1, followed by 5 mg/kg once a day for 4 days
  • Take with or without food
  • Do not chew or crush the tablet; swallow it whole
  • It is essential to complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve before the course is finished
Precautions
  • Do not use if you have a known allergy to Azithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics
  • Use with caution in individuals with liver or kidney disease
