Overview

Suminat 100 mg Tablets contain Sumatriptan, a selective serotonin receptor agonist used to treat acute migraine attacks with or without aura. It works by narrowing blood vessels in the brain and relieving migraine-related symptoms such as headache, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. Suminat is not intended for the prevention of migraines or for treating other types of headaches.

How to Use

Take Suminat 100 mg Tablet as soon as migraine symptoms appear. Swallow the tablet whole with water. It can be taken with or without food. If the migraine returns after initial relief, a second dose may be taken at least 2 hours after the first, but do not exceed the maximum daily limit.

  • Recommended initial dose: 50 mg to 100 mg, based on physician advice
  • Maximum dose: 300 mg in 24 hours
  • Do not use more than 2 doses in a day without consulting your doctor
  • Not for continuous daily use or prevention
Safety Information
  • Not suitable for patients with heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or a history of stroke
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking antidepressants (SSRIs/SNRIs) or MAO inhibitors
  • Avoid using other migraine medications (e.g., ergotamines) within 24 hours of taking Suminat
  • Use with caution in patients with liver impairment
