Cerazette is a progestin-only oral contraceptive containing Desogestrel 0.075 mg. Unlike combination pills, it does not contain estrogen, making it suitable for women who are breastfeeding or who cannot tolerate estrogen. Cerazette prevents pregnancy by inhibiting ovulation, thickening cervical mucus, and altering the uterine lining to prevent implantation.
