Paxlovid 150 mg Tablets is an oral antiviral medication that combines Nirmatrelvir and Ritonavir to treat mild to moderate COVID-19 in individuals who are at risk of developing severe disease. Paxlovid is authorized for emergency use and is most effective when taken within 5 days of the onset of COVID-19 symptoms.
Nirmatrelvir, the active antiviral component, works by inhibiting the replication of the virus, while Ritonavir is included to boost the effectiveness of Nirmatrelvir by inhibiting its breakdown in the body. Together, they help reduce viral load, manage symptoms, and reduce the risk of severe illness, hospitalization, or death due to COVID-19.

Treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 in patients who are at high risk of progressing to severe disease
Early intervention for patients experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (such as fever, cough, sore throat) within the first 5 days
Not intended for prevention of COVID-19 or for patients who require hospitalization due to severe COVID-19 symptoms

Recommended dose: Two Paxlovid 150 mg tablets (totaling 300 mg of Nirmatrelvir) taken orally twice daily for 5 days
The tablets should be taken with or without food
Do not skip doses—ensure you complete the full 5-day treatment course
In case of a missed dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is time for your next dose. Do not take two doses at once
