Overview
- Paxlovid 300 mg Tablets is an oral antiviral medication used in the treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 in individuals who are at high risk of developing severe illness. It combines two active components: Nirmatrelvir (300 mg) and Ritonavir (100 mg). Nirmatrelvir inhibits the SARS-CoV-2 virus from replicating, while Ritonavir enhances its effectiveness by slowing its breakdown in the body.
- Timely administration—within 5 days of symptom onset—is critical for Paxlovid to reduce the risk of hospitalization or death.
