Overview
Ropinirole is a dopamine agonist used primarily in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and restless legs syndrome (RLS). By stimulating dopamine receptors in the brain, it helps to alleviate the symptoms of these conditions, such as tremors, stiffness, and difficulty moving (in Parkinson’s disease) or the uncomfortable sensation of needing to move the legs (in RLS). Ropinirole improves motor control and reduces discomfort associated with both conditions.
