Overview
Ropinirole is a dopamine agonist used to manage symptoms of Parkinson's disease and restless legs syndrome (RLS). By stimulating dopamine receptors in the brain, Ropinirole helps alleviate motor symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease, such as tremors, rigidity, and slowness of movement. It is also effective in treating restless legs syndrome, providing relief from the uncomfortable urge to move the legs, especially at night. This 2 mg dose is commonly used for maintenance therapy after adjusting to a lower starting dose.
